One of the largest evangelical organizations on college campuses nationwide has told its 1,300 staff members they will be fired if they personally support gay marriage or otherwise disagree with its newly detailed positions on sexuality starting on Nov. 11.

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship USA says it will start a process for “involuntary terminations” for any staffer who comes forward to disagree with its positions on human sexuality, which hold that any sexual activity outside of a husband and wife is immoral.

Remember that part in the bible where Jesus kicked the whores, fornicators and other assorted undesirables out of his, like, totally super-serious college club…?

  1. Lev says:

It’s called winning over the next generation!

Such a move of desperate weakness, too. Purism purges are never a sign of strength and confidence, and it smacks of folks living in an alternate universe where tolerance is what’s getting in the way of mass acceptance of Falwellism among the youngs. Just goes to show you that as much as they blame the media (and to be fair, the media does cover the most extreme organizations rather than the most influential ones because it’s the media), their demographic disaster is due almost entirely to the choices they themselves made.
