Ironic how now-deposed Queen Wingnut Palin was the one to whine so incessantly about putting lipstick on a pig:

[T]he party’s main problem … is who delivers [the Republican] message and how, not the message itself.  “We don’t need a new pair of shoes; we just need to shine our shoes,” said … committeewoman Melody Potter.

Yeah, if they’re pissing on your head and telling you it’s raining, the solution is not to stop pissing on everyone’s head, it’s to market the liquid as Axe Body Wash, or something.

On a side note, I read (Mediaite, maybe?) Mooseburgers is not getting her contract renewed over t’Fox. Hope she made enough to keep her in hairdos and hillbilly heroin for the next 30 years.

Damn — I can’t believe I never thought up “Hillbilly Heroine” before. I gotta go chastise myself forthwith.

From GOP gets sensitivity training on immigration reform: ‘Don’t use phrases like send them all back’ on the DailyKOS:

…the fact that the group is more concerned about how congressional Republicans talk about the issue than how they vote on it is a pretty clear indication of just how backwards Republicans are on this topic. Usually in politics, advocacy groups try to achieve actual policy priorities. Here, they are just trying to stop their party from acting like assholes—and based on some of their advice, they must really think there’s a lot of assholes in their party.
