Two Obama picks for the Fed were just confirmed. Fun fact: Obama has appointed six of seven members of the Board of Governors. Being as the terms last for 14 years, it’s pretty rare for any one president to have that kind of impact on the direction of the Federal Reserve, and it might indeed be his most significant (but underappreciated) legacy. Here’s hoping these two lead to some more monetarist measures to get the economy moving again.
