Just a random question but does anyone have to take a second before describing something as being either east or west of something else?  I don’t know what the deal is but I’ve always had this affliction.  North and south are obviously ok but the east-west axis always makes me pause.  Am I just weird?

East or west of what? Either your left or my left might be right.

the weird thing is that i somehow don't instinctually associate east and west with left and right. i have to think about it for a second each time. even now. very weird.

Since you've alleged to understand the North -- South axis, then Left or Right is the answer to your quandary. On a compass rose N -- S and E -- W, are permanently connected.

Unless you're standing exactly at the N or S Pole, West will on Your L when facing N. Face S then E will to Your L and the opposite will be true for anyone directly facing you. Your R is their L and so on until there's nobody left who cares.

The answer of whether or not you're weird should be defined by yourself not by others. Look within for your answer, if you wanna be weird then be weird, if not then be yourself.

I don't see what the mystery is here; the words just sound too much alike.

Thanks. I'm pretty sure I'm weird anyway :)
