Jeebus tapdancing christmas. This is one of the funniest things I’ve read in a while:
What about 2000 and 2004, Jebster? In a recent interview with Newsmax, [Former Florida Governor Jeb] Bush was asked whether he thought Palin was a viable candidate for president. Though he had some nice things to say about her “charisma,” it was clear that Bush thinks Palin doesn’t have the intellectual heft to occupy the oval office. He said that Palin’s success depends on her willingness to add a “depth of understanding of the complexity of life we’re living in today” to her rhetoric.
“That’s up to her,” he said. “I mean, I don’t know what her deal is, but my belief is in 2010 and 2012, public leaders need to have intellectual curiosity.”

Did you see the movie "W"? Worth a look, in this regard.
Karl Rove is fond of mentioning how many books GWB read. The man has intellectual curiosity, he's just dumb.
He actually was reasonably smart 14 years ago as a governor, but was affected by something like senility. Here's a video:
[youtube pw4Bhmm22xo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pw4Bhmm22xo youtube]
(I recall seeing a good "then and now" montage that made the point more effectively, but I can't find it right now)
hmm, maybe it was the drink that addled his brain
Well, let's certainly take Karl Rove's word for how many books Bush read :)Maybe it was the drink that addled the young Bush's mind
And what a strange thing for Rove to say of someone…brag that they read books?!?! Unless the person is 2. Good pt about alcohol/drugs. Also, as much as W's absence from the public scene is commonly interpreted by MSM as respectful and presidential, this stuff leaves me wondering. Reagan claimed he couldn't remember Oli North's illegal escapades, and turns out perhaps he really couldn't, alzheimers.
Interesting, hadn't seen this. Rather hope it's contamination from too much close contact with the Rove/Cheney viral reality warp and that Bush will eventually recover, and not from a strange mold or other contagion in the White House….if desciplined brilliant Obama begins to blabber, they better check the vents. This video shows W's education positions in TX sounding like Laura Bush's, maybe the juvenile justice system, too. They made a much better team than with the fiends.
and we shall always be prey to the aspirations of simple men
