I don’t know why it just dawned on me but I am really freaking irritated that so much of the chattering classes’ time is being spent endlessly nibbling at the speculation apple over which Republican douchebiscuit is jockeying most effectively for a 2012 nomination.
It’s 2009 for fuck’s sake! Do I seriously have to endure a non-stop barrage of hypothetical Palin/Beck/Joe the Plumber/Pawlenty/Old Man Willis matchups for the next two years!?
Maybe I’m just dense but I have absolutely no recollection of the same level of three-years-hence horse-race prognosticating bullshit back in 2001 or 2005.
I call a pox on all their media houses and will hereby boycott any article, from any source, that includes breathless unsubstantiated tea-leaf-reading on which Republican contender is most effectively ass-reaming the GOP base to curry favor for 2012.
