I’ve posted this quote before but I think it is always timely, especially in the face of the impending Democratic WIN/FAIL health care “reform” bill being ground through the Senate good-idea-tenderizer right now:

“I really don’t understand how bipartisanship is ever going to work when one of the parties is insane. Imagine trying to negotiate an agreement on dinner plans with your date, and you suggest Italian and she states her preference would be a meal of tire rims and anthrax. If you can figure out a way to split the difference there and find a meal you will both enjoy, you can probably figure out how bipartisanship is going to work the next few years.” — John Cole

I really do not think that they are insane, just bought and paid for by the special interest groups. All they care for is the amount of payoff that they can rake in. Like the CEO's that fund them.

Which party has a family values platform that is lead by a man that has three marriages and a major faith shift? Which party claims that their will be government death panels unded health care reform while denying the death panels that the insurance companies already have in place? Which party wants to in place a "christian theocracy" that in reality is not Christian? Which party destroyed the economy under Bush/Cheney but tries to blame the current President who has not been in place for a year yet? Which part supports torture as an official US government policy but yet claims to be fundamentally christian? Which party supported spending over 3 trillion dollars on a failed oil war but cannot spend one trillion over ten years to help our own people?
