This quote pretty much sums up the fundamental irrationality behind the populist right’s fact-free, reality-free obsession with all things Palin:

From time to time, I’ll get into a debate with a right-winger about whether Sarah Palin is actually stupid or if liberals are just hopelessly biased against her. They claim this bias comes from the fact that liberals are scared of her electability, her charm, her looks, her femininity, her Christianity, her ability connect to the common man and her overall wonderfulness. So, the theory is that we have all collectively decided that she is the best Republican candidate in some secret liberal meeting and are conspiring against her because we are afraid of how brilliant and electable she really is.
How could you possibly try to argue with thinking like that?

If Republicans really think that is is the best unbeatable candidate, then they need to lock up the majic mushrooms. I actually do hope that they run with her on the ticket, just to see if the GOP can fall to less than 20% of the regestered voters.

when bush was ellected for a second term i was depressed for a week . i followed the elecion closely for quite some time and i used to think americans would never elect bush again for what he had done to america and the world . I just thought it'll never happen but it did and after that i have started believing that americans can elect any war crazy psycho republican . Nothing is impossible . So i dont know , maybe palin can be the next president and the whole world will be screwed

I was right there with you when bush got re-elected. Although Bush wasan incompetent travesty, Palin is 7000% worse than Bush and, thankfully, most of the American realize what a devious fraud she is.I can assure you that either Palin will never get elected or, if shedoes (extremely unlikely), the world will end shortly thereafter so atleast we won't have much time to worry about it.

      • schu says:

Unfortunately I do not have your high opinion of the US voter. If a majority of young voters stay home figuring that their vote doesn't count, or they are to busy to be bothered this time, the fringe can take control of the margin and win another election with chad votes.

  3. Metavirus says:

That is just too scary to contemplate

    • schu says:

That is why we must make sure ACORN cleans up their act but continues with its voter registration drives. We also must continue to attack and point out the right wings spin doctors and attack dogs and how they are twist the truth and distort the facts. They do not seem to like any examination of their tactics or trying to justify what they are doing.
