We really aren’t a very serious country if statistics like this don’t prod more people to demand that we stop the insanity already:

And you are going to tax the growing of pot in their own homes? Or collecting it from the roadsides? Just making it legal will save billions in law-in-forcement and court costs alone.

    • Metavirus says:

I belive the chart only estimates taxes based on sales. I would thinkthat growing for personal use eould be untaxed just like growing anyother herb. The tax revenue we could be getting off weed is one thing. The ruined human lives is what disturbs me the most.

  2. Melissa says:

Ruined human lives? Then why is POT legal in California for MEDICAL purposes? I know because cancer patients actually get an appetite and feel less nauseous. I read that there is not one death associated with POT yet alcohol kills millions every year and somehow is still legal. In my opinion alcohol ruins human lives.

  3. Melissa says:

OH okay because I thought it was a little contradictory. And yes human lives are ruined by the legal system. I read an article in Marie Claire about a prosecutor in NYC who actually smoked weed at the end of the day because she feels so guilty about what she does………

    • Metavirus says:

Yeah, I couldn't imagine how shitty that would feel. I had a friendwho was an assistant DA who ocassionally 'indulged' but didn't see anyconflict. It really sucks for kids because stupid things like a 21yodrinking age and pot prohibition just teach them to disrespect the law
