[The following is a post written by Chunzilla, a good friend of the blog. She was inspired to write based on an article at the Huffington Post.]
As outrageous and caustic as the Beck/Limbaugh/Hannity/teabaggers/etc. can be, they’re not the ones signing the million dollar checks to fight reform in health care or the environment. Last I heard, Limbaugh is trying to buy the Rams football team! Now that’s putting his money where his mouth is….not!
One of the best strategies I saw during the Obama presidential election was when bloggers and others would trace THE MONEY, the contributions, and hold people accountable. We need to lift the veil and counter misinformation, misdirection, and mistaken notions with FACT, especially about MONEY and who is actually financing the opposition and literally BUYING legislative votes.
It’s not the screaming nuts. It’s the corporations with big interests in keeping things the same or going backwards. And these folks know how to buy influence and SELL misinformation like wizards.
As flamboyant and seemingly influential as the Beck blowhards appear, it’s the quiet monied folks behind the curtains that are subverting forward progress and trying to block a healthier country and world. Check out the article and let’s start spreading THE MONEY FACTS.
