I have just about had it with this blatantly misleading line of argument from the Republicans:

The last thing in the world I think Democrats and Republicans are going to do at the end of the day is create a government run health care system where you’ve got a bureaucrat standing in between the patient and the doctor.
Why is this a misleading fallacy? Because this is what exists today! We already have a screwed up health care system in which insurance company “bureaucrats” stand in between doctors and patients and decide which treatments are appropriate. I am nearly at my wit’s end on this. If journalists don’t start challenging this blatant nonsense, I am going to start screaming — a lot.

This is just more of the smokescreen being thrown up by the insurance company’s lobbyist. I am sorry to say that you are going to see a lot of this in the coming months. While we do have bureaucrats deciding what procedures or medications we may have, they are insurance company’s bureaucrats, so for some reason that is ok. The only way to overcome the lobbyist is to continually contact you representatives and press your concerns about health care coverage.

i guess in a way your pocket is already making decisions for you. wallet-run heatlh care

Yea, and if you have any problem you lose your home, your retirement, and have to live in government housing.

that's one of the saddest parts about it. so many people HAVE health insurance but not enough coverage to avoid disaster. they are one big ailment away from penury and bankruptcy
