Funny how times change, isn’t it?

“War crimes will be prosecuted, war criminals will be punished and it will be no defense to say, ‘I was just following orders.’” — President George W. Bush, March 13, 2003, on the eve of the Iraq War.

  1. G'day mate. says:

not trying to justify war crimes, but i assume many of the people that commit these acts have at least been shot at, and possibly have seen their friends die in front of them…it is retribution they are after…these soldiers get sent into war by someone they do not know and get ordered around (indirectly) by that person. If a politician went into war and had his mates gunned down in front of him i think you may well find that if he had an opportunity to get back at the enemy he may well do too.
