You may have heard by now that the Bill O’Reilly comedy hour has been getting hammered pretty hard lately for stalking and accosting a female blogger, Amanda Terkel, who dared to write a piece critical of BillO the Clown.

ThinkProgress, which employs Ms. Terkel, has been hosting a letter-writing campaign to O’Reilly’s advertisers this week to highlight BillO’s shameful tactics. I joined in and just got this response from UPS:

Thank you for sending an e-mail expressing concern about UPS advertising during the Bill O’Reilly show on FOX News. We do consider such comments as we review ad placement decisions which involve a variety of news, entertainment and sports programming. At this time, we have no plans to continue advertising during this show.

Seems pretty clear that UPS is pulling their advertising, no?

Update: ThinkProgress confirms that UPS is indeed pulling its advertising.

Update 2: Here’s a fitting tribute to BillO (language NSFW):

No. Clear is "We have decided to immediately discontinue advertising during this show." Their carefully crafted statement came from a Communications department not the UPS Foundation.

I'm hopeful that they WILL pull their advertising, if only for the reason that there really should be some repercussions for the hateful crap that O'Reilly spews during his show.
