A surprisingly honest assessment of the Republican Party’s intended “goal” over the next few years, from the mouth of a GOP Congressman:

“We will lose on legislation. But we will win the message war every day, and every week, until November 2010,” said Rep. Patrick McHenry, R-N.C., an outspoken conservative who has participated on the GOP message teams. “Our goal is to bring down approval numbers for [Speaker Nancy] Pelosi and for House Democrats. That will take repetition. This is a marathon, not a sprint.”
Yep, a GOP Congressman just admitted that they will mostly be concerned with bringing down the Democrats’ approval numbers, rather than putting forward solutions to help America in its time of need. Are you really supposed to say this stuff out loud?

  1. DB says:

Wow, this is an honorable goal! /sarcasm

You summed this one up, the Republicans should put America first.

  2. Dan Gilbert says:

That's just nuts, but it's probably not just limited to this guy, although others may not actually say it out loud. Limbaugh, Hannity, and Beck probably feel the same way.

    Poltics suck.
